Super Sidekick: The Musical to premiere in Missouri + more!

The Ninja Koalas are headed for Neosho High School!

Last week, I received a notice that one of my plays, Super Sidekick: The Musical, will be going up at Neosho High School in Neosho, Missouri this November! This marks the second production this year, tenth production since the show was published by Samuel French, and fifteenth overall. Mike and I have already been in touch with the team at Neosho Drama, and we’re excited to see what they do with the show!

In the meantime, I’ve taken the opportunity to revamp the show’s official website, and I’m in the middle of updating our social media presence. This has been a very intensive process. I’m doing what I can to fill out the individual production pages as best as possible, including researching missing cast lists and tracking down photos and videos of each of the previous productions on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter. My searches have turned up a lot of great stuff, which I’m looking forward to sharing on the official show Facebook and Twitter feeds (so give us a like and a follow over there). To give you a taste, the header image for this entry is from the Taquhitz High School production that went up in April earlier this year. So many ninja koalas.

  • My self-producing workshop for playwrights goes up this Saturday from 2pm-4pm at studio/stage! It is primarily for Alliance of LA Playwrights members, but they have opened up attendance to anyone and everyone. Still, RSVPs are required and it’s almost full, so if you’re interested, please e-mail events@LAPlaywrights.org with your name and the number of your party.

That’s it for now!
