Rehearsing Tattered Capes at Payke Gymnasium in South Pasadena

It’s May 1st! … What does that mean?

Well, besides no more dank N’Sync memes until next April, tickets for the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival go on sale today! And this year, I’m working on not one, not two, but three separate productions!

Tattered Capes

Tattered Capes by Gregory CraftsSynopsis: It’s Kevin and Stephanie Connolly’s fifth wedding anniversary, and Kevin has a night of celebration planned for them. Of course, this means he won’t be going out on his regular patrol of Metro City as his alter-ego, M-Pulse, the self-appointed Eminence of Electromagnetism. But things should be fine without him for one night, right? Wrong.

One would think that there could be no secrets left between a husband and wife after five years of matrimonial bliss, but when a powerful supervillain’s attack interrupts Kevin and Stephanie’s date, a hero’s unmasking bears significant consequences for the Connollys. Consequences that will resonate and redefine their relationship forever.

The press release went out on this earlier this week. Tickets are on sale now.

Batter Up! My Brain on Baseball

Batter Up! My Brain on Baseball

Synopsis: Brett Moore is totally enamored with baseball, and has been for 25 years. In that time, he’s memorized more about baseball than anyone with access to the Internet could possibly need to know. Come watch him perform his amazing feats of baseball memory that are unnecessary, stunning, and highly entertaining. and wax poetic about his favorite obsession in a unique solo show that connects patrons and the performer through the love of our national pastime!

I’m thrilled to be working with Brett, directing and co-producing this show with him for this year’s festival. We still have a few Preview tickets available for only $0.30! Yeah, you read that right. A 30-cent preview for all thirty ball clubs. Grab ’em while you can!

Fringe Celebrity D&D

Tattered Capes by Gregory CraftsSynopsis: Join some of the Hollywood Fringe community’s biggest celebrities for an evening of dungeons, dragons, dice, and derring-do! The call to adventure is so strong, not even Festival Director Ben Hill can resist! Huzzah!

Featuring a new original one-shot adventure written for D&D 5th Edition, presented by Dungeon Master Gregory Crafts, and a veritable who’s-who of Fringe celebrities at the table this game promises to be a unique experience.

100% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, part of the Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals.

Time to put my twenty-plus years of Tabletop RPG experience to good use and raise money for a fantastic cause! I hope you’ll come out and join us for an exciting afternoon. Tickets are on sale now.

Those are the three projects I’m directly involved in this year, and I can’t wait to see how they all pan out! Later this month, I’ll post my Must-See list, so keep an eye out.

Onward and upward!
