Francisco, Legendary DisneyLand Cat

Too much to talk about in-depth right now, so I’m just going to present 10 quick hits.

1. We had some special guests this past weekend at Ada and the Engine: some of the original developers of the Ada computer language! No joke – one of them heard about the show through the LA Times 99-Seat Beat, they called their friends in the community, and they all showed up! Amazing!

EDIT: They came back closing weekend at the end of the extension, and brought even more friends! So honored. 🙂

Ada and the Ada programmers!

2. Speaking of Ada, we’re extending! We’ve added two more performances this coming Friday at 8pm, and Sunday at 7pm. Tickets are on sale at TheatreUnleashed.org now. This show has been such an incredible experience, and I couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out. So happy I get to do it two more times!

3. Jenn and I took a much-needed day off at DisneyLand last week, and we didn’t even do a single ride. No, instead, we spent most of the day in California Adventure experiencing the Food & Wine Festival, generally walking through the park, and looking for quiet corners to just sit and have a cup of coffee while enjoying one another’s company. It was paradise, and with my Annual Pass freshly renewed, I’m looking forward to a lot more of this in the near future.

Disney Date Day!

4. This past weekend, we held auditions for Tattered Capes, Theatre Unleashed‘s Fringe show premiering at studio/stage this June. As I write this, we’re in the middle of making our final decisions, and it’s agonizing.

But this show’s going to be epic.

5. Speaking of Epic… remember how I mentioned last month about the student interested in turning Friends Like These into a movie? Well, he has a cast:

I’m rooting for you, Prosser. Can’t wait to see what you do with my script.

So much happening. So much potential.

Onward and upward.
